Initial Meeting
The cost of your initial meeting is at our expense. This is an opportunity for you to find out more about us and for us to get to know you.
Fact Finding
We’ll give you access to our Personal Finance Portal so we can gather information from you around your current circumstances, both personal and financial. We will also ask you to complete an investment risk questionnaire. This ‘fact finding’ exercise helps us establish your current position, what is important to you, and what you want for your future. It gives us an indication of your attitude to investment risk, your capacity for investment loss and helps us to assess and understand your knowledge and experience of financial planning.
If required, and on your authority, we can liaise with your accountant and/or solicitors to gather information on your personal tax or estate planning position.
Planning & Research
Your financial planner will share your information with our para-planning and research team. Our team of para-planners will carry out research, considering all aspects of your financial and personal circumstances. The timing of this is dependent on the complexity of your case and whether we need to obtain financial information from third party providers, your accountant and/or your solicitor.
Recommendation Stage
Your financial planner will review the research and tailor a recommendation accordingly. Our recommendation to you will be provided in writing, in the format of a suitability report with supporting documents. It will detail what we propose to be the best solutions for you along with the associated risks. It will also clearly outline the costs and charges associated. It is important that you fully understand and are happy with what is being recommended and we encourage you to ask questions and discuss the recommendations in detail with your Adviser.
Agreement Stage & Implementation
Once agreed, we will deal with all aspects of the administration and implementation of our recommendation. We will assist you with the preparation and completion of any paperwork that is required, and we will keep you informed of our progress regularly.
Ongoing Advice
To ensure that you have a clear view of your financial plan, and stay on track to meet your objectives, you will have regular financial planning review meetings, as per your client service level. In the interim, we encourage you to contact us with any questions and or concerns you may have and to let us know if there are any fundamental changes to your personal or financial circumstances.
Ongoing Administration Support
We are committed to providing you with a customer experience specifically to meet your needs and you will also have access to a dedicated administration team during office hours to provide you with friendly and efficient support and service. You will have access to our Personal Finance Portal, which is a web page designed individually for you, to enable you to see all of the information that we hold for you in one secure place. The portal gives you direct access to:
- View all the client information we have on file for you and if required update this when things change
- Access up-to-date valuations and an overview of the performance of your investments at any time
- Store all your important financial documents online in the document vault
- Access to a secure messaging service where you can contact us directly with the peace of mind that any sensitive personal information you share is fully encrypted and private
Charges
We will always be clear on the cost of our advice. Our charges will be agreed with you before any chargeable work is started. Our charges are dependent on the service level you sign up to with us and these payments can either be taken from your investment (via the product provider) or paid directly by you by monthly standing order.
Charges are usually based on a percentage of your agreed assets under advice, which you invest and/or transfer under our agency or alternatively, if you prefer we can charge on an hourly basis.
